The GDP Foundation aims at creating a “Purposeful ecosystem” which will offer retired people multiple opportunities to contribute  through their experience, expertise in various programs of the state and central government, NGO’s, CSR projects of industries, startups, etc. factoring the sudden vacuum which gets created due to retirement/empty nest/family disputes/loss of partner/loneliness and various multiple factors which come into play in the retirement phase.

Yes, there are options like Geriatric care or old age homes. However these cater to the clinical and caregiving and at times is not affordable to one and all. GNI is aimed at minimal displacement, focuses on restoring dignity ,it values “Old age as an Asset and not liability”.

How does GDP’s GNI works?

I) Age group 58 to 68:
Projects which need physical presence however these will be in close proximity to their to their residence.

II)Age group 69 to 79:

a) Projects which can be executed from remote location (residence) using virtual platforms/or performed in the residential premises.

b)GNI will have a Main Centre which will be in Panaji /Bicholim and Sub centres spread across the geographies through a well designed road map.

c)The main centre will be a prototype/benchmark.

GDP’s – GNI deliverables

  1. Each sub centre should have basic amenities (Co working spaces/Library /Internet connection/small cafeteria /lounge /washrooms /project discussion room etc)
  2. Each member will be offered options to contribute as under
    – Work for GDP Foundation (in person /virtual )
    – Work on projects/programs of the GDP foundation.(in person /virtual)
    – Work at the GNI centre.(in person)
  3. The roles/responsibilities for the above will be predefined and available on the digital space to explore and choose while completing the membership formalities.
  4. Members can opt for either voluntary or honorarium options.
  5. Training and other related interventions will be done from time to time.
